Anyone who drinks and has a license to drive has been guilty of doing it in some minor or major capacity. I did it all the time when I was younger(college) and paid the price with a DUI arrest. This was back in 1996 and the penalties are 3X stricter nowadays. Even back then, the shit you have to go through is NOT WORTH IT. No way, no how. If I drink now, I get fucked up at home. Safe and not harming anyone.

The ironic thing is that a few of my friends are cops. And they drink and drive all the time.

i am a cop and that statement is 100% true.....i never drink and drive..but he people i work with?...its crazy....i dont hang out with fellow "employees" anymore.

I respect the shit out of what cops have to go through on the job. Depending on the county and state, a county cop can make a pretty good living. It's a steady paycheck and you also earn some good extra money working overtime. One friend of mine earned $85,000+ with salary and overtime. Not too shabby.

Another friend of mine just made detective of homicide. The stories this guy tells me when when we hang out sometimes......man....

But back to the drinking....some cops tend to be heavy drinkers in their personal life.

Any intoxication, for example foods, can ultimately impair your suitability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Make sure you are very healthy before driving. Stable blood sugar, no brain fog or distracting thoughts etc.

they always flash their badge...in my county they are never arrested....they should be though.

facts :

1. loss of licence (extremely frustrating)
2. dealing with police/judicial system
2. stigma (people love to have someone over other people)
3. employment implications (no licence, you fail)

but more importantly.....

4. pussy opportunites (take her home on public transport?)

get a cab or a room......

Yup...went through all of that shit. Basically sets your life back about 3-5 years with all the bullshit you have to go through.

My friends do the same shit. But they almost never get pulled over because they have all the areas scouted where other cops sit and pull over drunk drivers. They always drink at the same bars and locations so they have the entire area clocked.
