Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-MI) told Fox News' Chris Wallace Sunday that it is "fair" to hold the Obama administration responsible for the a failure to detect an attempted terror attack. Friday, Hoekstra told the Detroit Free Press that the Obama administration needed to "connect the dots."

"You were quoted in the Detroit Free Press this morning as saying that, you know, the key is to connect the dots and maybe the Obama administration will now realize that. Is it really fair to hold the Obama administration responsible here?" asked Wallace.

"Yeah, I think it really is," replied Hoekstra. "Connecting the dots here is not really on this particular case. It's connecting the dots that we've seen over the last 11 months, over the last eight years."

As Raw Story reported yesterday, Hoekstra followed-up his initial comments with a post to his Twitter account: "Administration says attempted terrorist attack. No. It was a terrorist attack! Just not as successful as they (AQ) planned."

If there was evidence that Obama was personally handed a document listing the attackers name, flight, and destination, then HELL YES. This was the case with Dubya. Six weeks before.

Until then, I wouldn't make such an assumption. The prick should have been on the no-fly list, and I'd love to see who, at what level, decided not to add him

it depends if Obama was informed of it personally, as bush was before 911. Bush, Condi and Rummy admitted under oath that Dubya was handed the memo, who handed it to condi, then to rummy, and all said they didn't read it. Do we have evidence info on this guy reached obama? no.

This guy belonged on the no-fly list. I'm SURE we'll eventually find out why he didn't make the list. Til then, to compare this to bush/911 is asinine. Bush admits ignoring the memo. period.

at the end of the day yes obama, he is the boss of these people that get paid to perform these jobs, if they cant do it then he is responsible for getting someone in there that can, if the dyke cant get it right then it is obamas fault for keeping her in this position, weather he saw the papers or not, he appoints people to do a job and they are failing. as the ultimate decision make of who occupies these positions he is failing so yes we can blame obama

okay. SO if it turns out 6 weeks ago, obama was hand-delivered a memo saying "this guy will attack this target on this date", you would feel exactly the same as you do now?

That is why ppl are mad about 911. Bush had 5 of their names, the attack date and target - hand delivered. "You've covered your ass" he told the agent, and nobody read it. After a red-eye flight in mid of night to deliver it. Same day our 2 closets allies called us about it.

I think you'd be a liiiiiiiiiittle more critical of obama if he had this kinda detail on the attack and shrugged it off.
