Look, I don't really trust politicians and our government either....maybe 50% of the time, but this really seems like a multi-level security failure to me and a failure to adequately protect us against legitimate terror threats, perhaps out of a fear for offending peaceful muslims.  My opinion is that peaceful muslims must stand against these radicals with us, side by side and if they don't then they deserve some criticizm too.

Well, that CT is certainly unfounded but your entitled to your own CT.

The reason I raise the point about the tone of the administration is because there was chatter among intelligence agencies that this administration was cracking down on past decisions, particularly by the CIA, during the last administration.  Remember, they pushed hard to release CIA documents and tried to prosecute CIA officials and lawyers.

I'm not saying this had a direct impact on the failure of the intelligence agencies to act and share information appropriately in this case and in the Ft. Hood shooter case, but it is a possibility.  In both cases, ample warnings were present and they failed to protect us.

The recent failed attack on a US passenger jet traveling from Amsterdam to Detroit was a set-up provocation controlled by US intelligence, author and journalist Webster Tarpley stated to RT.

“[The terrorist’s] father, a rich Nigerian banker, went to the US embassy in Nigeria on November 19 and said ‘my son is in Yemen in a terrorist camp, do something about this.’ Nevertheless, the son is allowed to buy a ticket in Ghana, paying cash, $2,800, for a one-way ticket,” Tarpley said.

After that, a mentally deficient young man who doubtfully could make it from one gate to another managed to illegally enter Nigeria and get on a plane to Amsterdam.

“There was a well-dressed Indian man who brought him to the gate and said, ‘my friend does not have a passport, get him on, he is Sudanese, we do this all the time – that is impossible!” said Tarpley.
