many pro athletes carry guns.  One tampa bay player got home invaded, pistol whipped, stripped naked and abused for hours, robbed etc.  I forget his name.  screwed him up bigtime.

Another jax jag player got shot up bad near his house.

They make $250k to 750k PER GAME, they drive nice cars, and it's a small town.  They're targets.  Most carry weapons.

Remmeber that cleveland cavalier who was arrested a few months back - guitar case with a rifle and pistols taped to his legs?

Why can't bodybuilders have this kind of passion?

NEW YORK (AP) -- Two black men drew guns on each other during a Christmas Eve locker room argument over a gambling debt, according to The New York Post.

....Shocker

i believe NYC has a tight restricted gun code.  we'll see how this evolves...you know how these bigshot basketball palyers are.  additional the DA for NY county is now Cy Vance Jr...we'll see what he says shortly

Edit:   it happened in Washington DC.  it's an active investigation...USDOJ involved.  not good for whomever pulled the gun....the Marion Barry days of corruption are over....someone will be charged and prosecuted

Well 'toine walker has a gambling problem, cause he made so much he gambled so much too, the more $$ they make the more vulnerable they are, Scottie pippen took bad investment advice and bought a gulfstream or a few of them, and he was on a shitty contract in his peak years ( how else can they afford jordan) Sprewell just blew his money on items he dont really need, boats, yachts, trying to please white people, friends and family, rendering himself bankrupt.

A man named Spree-well spent all his cash?!  LMFAO!

It amazes me that it took someone so long to point this out.

No need whatsoever to have a gun in the locker room. Ridiculous. Yeah okay i can understand the need for one in their home and whatnot, but not in the freaking locker room.

makes you wonder how many times guys are strapped when you see them on TV.

When they're walking off the team bus to the opposing team's locker room, ipods in ear.

Rumors continue to swirl that Shaquille O'Neal and Laura Govan, the fiance of Wizards star Gilbert Arenas, are embroiled in an affair. The web site Young, Black & Fabulous reported last week that Shaq and Govan had become involved, posting alleged emails between Govan and the 7'1" center. One of the emails, allegedly from Govan, said she would meet with Shaq "as long as u taste me and make me cum LOL." See all of the emails here.

This followed a post at BlitzCorner.com that detailed the tribulations of Arenas and Govan's relationship, complete with subpoenas and child custody battles. BlitzCorner also obtained photos of Govan.

Events have continued to unfold this week. TMZ reported yesterday that Shaq's wife, Shaunie O'Neal, traveled to California to seek legal separation from the Cavs center.

I starting to think that Shaq is a arrogant regurgitated piece of wet dog shit. His actions ad of late show that he is desperate man of low class. Especially with that "Kobe how my ass taste" vid a few yrs back, and now since Kobe has proven that he do it without him. Shaq is now starting to realize he is un-needed and at 38, he is almost old news.

Honestly, the NBA is a joke. Really, basketball in general is becoming a joke. Four University of Tennessee b-ball players were arrested this week with guns, weed, and alcohol.

Joke--maube they should change the name of the team back to The Bullets...

Question--I'm almost certain that its illegal to even posses a firearm within DC limits.  Carries mandatory prison time.  How do you think these two coddled kids would do in jail?

I know it's hard to comprehend but Scottie Pippen, Latrell Sprewell and Antoine Walker have all made the news in the past few years concerning financial problems they were having.

It's pretty amazing how terrible some of these guys are with their money.

I don't really know much about this story and I don't really care to read too much into it because I hear about this same thing all the time but I am just saying is that it would not surprise me at this point even if a guy who was being paid like that was still having problems with money.

You mean the 22" spinners didn't last?
