Artie Lange, known to many of you as the sidekick of Howard Stern and the embodiment of good health was admitted to a New Jersey hospital for undisclosed reasons.

What could be the cause? He's obese, an alcoholic, a chain smoker, consumes a shitty diet, and had been addicted to cocaine, alcohol, heroin and prescription drugs for long periods of time. Thats a start.

Maybe if he had done some walking to St Louis during the weekend he could have shed some pounds.

Christmas day, the day after christmas, and new years day are the 3 top heart attack days of the year.

food, alcohol, stress, drugs taken for stress or party, and carbon dioxide from fireplaces all contribute.

If he was a healthy person then he likely wouldn't be funny, it's part of his character. Kinda like how Drew Carey still wears those big glasses despite the fact he had laser eye surgery years ago.

I thought he was pretty funny going back and forth with Joe Buck on HBO.

It seemed like he I seen him a few months ago and it looked like he had lost quite a bit of weight....

He was not on the show the week before the break. The show was tight lipped outta respect. We shall see if he returns tomorrow....

Jealousy is the greatest... yadda, yadda, yadda. I like Artie - I read his book a few months back. He is a hard worker but he has to work some things out for sure. Ge well Arthur!

i make fun of artie alot but i think he is kinda funny (even though he is a HUGE hack) and would hate to lose him on the show.

Haven't listened to Stern in years, but I always thought Artie was much funnier than Jackie.

Just SO easy to see him overdosing or heart-attacking, like Belushi, Farley, etc.
