def. a freak, but seems to have thick skin - could have been an issue if he tried to compete at the higher levels.

for the most part, i think he was scared to compete and his ego couldnt handle loosing.

sure, we get the whole 'competitive issue, but if that's true, then what's with working out in singlets in venice beach?

Vic broke alot of size barriers when dorian was a mr pee wee. The first to claim a 24" arm and 34" thigh at the middle. Once a leader comes to smash limits then followers show up too.

A leader isn't someone who talks smack about other competitors, yet has to resort to entering some podunk "national championship" to earn his pro card.

Plus, Richards was in perpetual offseason mode, often showing up at FIBO against guys who just competed at the Olympia or a post-Olympia Grand Prix show.

Would he have been a Mr O? Consistant top 5 guy? Complete wash out?

Absolutely no way to tell until he'd diet down and step on a Pro stage.

Considering that he ran to Nigeria to win its so-called national championship speaks volumes.

Granted, he's not the first (or only guy) to do something like that (Jimmy Mentis turned pro by winning Greece's national title three times). But, at least Mentis took on the NPC's best on the national level and did fairly well.

Per an old episode of American Muscle, I thought Richards did what he did, because he was not a U.S. citizen. It turns out he is but had DUAL-CITIZENSHIP both here and in Nigeria.

No way he would ever touch the Sandow. Even Kai Greene has a larger frame, better water control and has much more thickness & charisma. Ronnie would crush him in every pose with ease.

if you win your pro card and never compete, you never lost as a pro.

In Nigeria, certain ethnic groups take pride in "outsmarting" people, aka scamming them. It's a source of pride for them. Which why many, if not all of those African or Nigerian bank email scams come from them.

As far as Vic goes, that last pic, he does seem to look to outmass Dorian. His arms, chest and back seem bigger. Yates has a wider waist. And the video of them, shows that he was bigger. But he was holding water bloat as well. Someone post the vid of him posing against Yates.

I posted the vid of him talking about his reasons of not competing. He seemed sincere, or was he merely scamming us?

In that shot Yates only has him on back and gut and Victor is not yet fully in the pose. Legs and arms Vic is blowing Yates away.

He reminds me of Greg Kovacs, probably couldn't go without eating for 45 minutes (due to so many drugs) therefore, no precontest.
Also without so much water retention, he would probably be noticably smaller
