This is common sense. Those inventions were "basic". To get to the next level (teleportation for example) we need alot more time and research, but it will also change our lives even more profoundly.

1: I'd be interested in seeing the facts that "proove" this.

2: You're typing on a fucking computer to people from all over the world where you can tell them how you feel at the speed of light.  If your mom isn't letting you use her computer, you can get in your car and use a fucking GPS to tell you the exact directions to locate an internet cafe.  If your portable GPS doesn't work, you can pull out your miniature phone that works by using messages sent through the fucking air at the speed of light to ask your mom when she'll be done with the computer. 
All this is used with post 1950 "scientefic" inventions, fuckface.
