I've Gotten The Experts Opinon,...Lets Hear Others

I hate training light, tried it for a month hated it.  I simply love to train heavy with low reps. I train only 3 days week with heavy heavy basic barbell/dumbbell movements. I want to train heavy every workout like this. The expert says I should go light ever other week to save my joints.  I simply hate the lighter training, I'm never gonna be a pretty boy with abs, I'm a permabulker foreverrrr.  Any other thoughts on this all the time heavy training?

Get that thing repaired.
You dont like the way you look anyway,
actually since nobody cares about how fat you are, not even you,
just forget about training before you wreck your joints
and become handicapped.
Skip the gym fee and buy some proper meds.

I do both, using triple drops. I fail around 6 reps for the first set and then lower the weight and continue, so I end up doing around 25 - 30 reps for the whole set. Nothing wrong with lifting heavy, although you can cycle in 3 weeks of light lifting and lots of reps (around 100) 2 or 3 times a year, if you feel like you need to give your system and joints a break.

about what you look like or how fat or "slim" you are.

If you cant, then skip the gym.
Go for a walk, turn off internet for a week.

You should always periodize your training.

Going too heavy too often will result in injury or burnout.

neither--doesnt matter--not like we will ever meet

maybe you havent noticed but I'm doing actually quite well lately. Pretty mellow, enjoying life, doing what I want to do for a living. Other than being a 275 pound guy with 24% bf, I'm actually in a good spot in life. There's really not much to feel sorry for. My weight is my own fault and if I pay a price for it I am to blame and no one else. And if people don't care about me, while, that's their business.

listen to your body.

it will tell you when you need a break from the weight. you just have to be listening when it does.

if thats what it wants, feed it the weight.

I'm a big guy, such is life.  What matters to me is I have gotten my life to a  better point mentallly

just a side note, not that it matter cause no one cares

I recently had a physical and my bp is 116/75 consistently, resting heart rate is 56 and bloodwork and other stuff came back fine.

I'm the same.  I will just take a week off every couple to three months.....I just never enjoyed doing higher rep training and didn't see the point.  I don't get too sore with only a week off and I feel refreshed and antsy to get back in the gym.

Avesher could you elaborate on what you hate about light training so much, and on what you define "light training" as?  Like is it a certain number of reps?

I just like the feeling of moving heavy weight. I feel like I am accomplishing nothing doing 15 reps. It' not fun,while moving big wegiht is a blast

I have definitely been there before (feeling of not accomplishing anything with high-rep workouts).  I find the key to doing higher rep schemes is to NOT go to failure; have a goal # number of reps in mind then stop when you get to it.  Makes it easier to do more the next workout.  Then next workout target an extra rep or the same number of reps with a little more weight.  Steady progression every workout, keeps things from getting boring / redundant.

But if you are making progress by lifting heavy and aren't getting hurt then fuck it, do w/e you enjoy 8)  The same thing is true for lifting heavy, though: need to progress.  No point in doing the same heavy lift over and over again.
