Dont know what long term effects are. But there are very few who can do this. I saw this program where the tat artist had practiced and practiced on cadavers before doing on a live and very stupid human being. You have to be very, very careful with the insertion of the needle---too deep and you know the deal. The ink swirls around like it would if you put it in water. The guy getting dots around his iris.
