If you are the coach why don't you tell them to do the other half of the squat?

These growing kids need protein, preferably the whey fractions of milk in powdered form for easy assimilation by the digestive system.

Instead of questioning all the issues I saw from the video, I would like to take a different approach.  What are your qualifications to "coach/teach" powerlifting?

I didn't know there was a "Naked Gun" episode about squatting.

Your intentions are good but you don't have the balls to be a good coach. You're complimenting their shitty form and technique.
In high school none of my coaches would have let any of those lifts pass. They would MAKE you take weight off the bar until it was light enough so you could do a proper deep rep of whatever lift it was.

Blowing smoke up someones ass isn't going to make them better.

This is why powerlifting has gone to shit.

Suits, no range of motion, countless wraps, etc. what a f joke.

Yep. I'm not saying that a wide back squat isn't a legit movement, it is. But I would like to see the skinny, a little over 100 pounder boy do a max with a narrow front squat to the bottom (with no gear on)...

The last guy on the video was the only one that had any half way range of motion. The rest of these guys are the ones you see on BB.com bragging about weighing 135lbs, but be able to do over 400lbs. For sets of 10 squats. ::)
Man, if I wanted to inflate my lifting numbers than I should do 1/4 range bench press, but wear a bench shirt and claim I can do 500lbs for sets of 10 lol

Powerlifters really are harming their sport with this. When weightlifters and strongmen train they never! fuck around. If they say a number lifted, they did it. Powerlifters seem to have the ego thing going.

Not that you will listen to anyones criticism, but when doing box squats you should never plop down on the box like that kid.  He was not tight at all.  You should be squeezing your glutes and hamstrings while sitting back to the box and then explode up.  All things considered though, that kid is very strong for his weight.

I'm not going to disagree, it was an ME lower body day, if you listen to me I kept telling to "lock" lock" because he was a wobbly and got down a little too quick for my liking. But shit, he got it up.
