I think it is highly likely that human beings are not only one of many intelligent species, but we are at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to developing civilizations.

It is highly likely, in my mind, that human beings are being prepared for contact within the next few months/years. We are being tested to see if we qualify living here one Earth, and also whether or not we can reach a voice of unity which will take a seat on some form of Galactic Federation, who are patiently awaiting (and even guiding) our initiation towards space migration and life extension.

If there was any life intelligent enough to watch us we would have detected it by now. If they are existing on some other dimension then we will never be able to experience them and vice versa. So what is the point of even thinking about them. They don't exist. Face it this is your life.

Believing in things like this is dangerous because it makes people think there is another utopian somewhere which by default devalues earth and our existence now.

Most of the sci fi type people would trade in our world in a flash without even questioning it, They hate this existence so much that they would dispose of this earth in a heart beat in hopes of trading up for something better.

You're brain doesn't work to the extent that you don't even have a curiosity on the subject. Do you not ask why we have no utopia, but only a small wealthy class does? What kind of society would a advanced civilization be? Would they leave people starving in their backyards?

we have no evidence of any of that happening. Once a civilization is advanced enough to travel to new galaxies or light years or whatever their biggest threat is too themselves.

From my observations, people who believe in UFOs and aliens are either the really stupid or highly intelligent nerds who want so badly for their sci-fi fantasies to be true that they end up slipping into an imaginary fantasy world and will misconstrue and misenterpretate all data related to UFOs so as to prove to others and especially to themselves that aliens exist and are visiting us.

  that same statement could be applied to "god"....besides I think it's a little more far fetched to believe in talking snakes,walking on water,splitting sea's,curing blind,a baby born from a virgin,coming back from the dead,a single man making a boat big enough & then somehow managing to collect 2 of every species of the world.....religious fables are far more unbelievable than ET's,,,,yet religion is widely excepted & by many considered to be fact....that right there shows how in the stone age our culture/world really is.....
  that is why ET's may be reluctant to contact us or let themselves be known to the world as a whole...there have been military men that have told there wives & loved ones on there death beds of alien encounters that they had but were sworn to secracy by there gov.....just because the general public hasn't been informed of any contact doesn't mean it hasn't happened....
