I believe you mean a heat pump/airconditioner that in the winter draws the heat from the ground; in the summer sinks heat into the ground. I can't help but think that a good gas furnace coupled with an airconditioner from a good company (like Trane) would be a more effective use of your money. I have known houses that used heat pumps and they drank current, and didn't get the house very warm in winter (in Houston), or get it very cool in summer.
