Not literally, but there is a huge nutritional difference between a burger you make at home with fresh tomatoes, onion and beef patties, and another made using 6 month old canned tomatoes, instant beef patties and onion flavoring.
That depends though on too many variables and the recipe.  If you were using San Marzano Tomatoes on an Italian Beef and Sausage burger, than you would HAVE to use canned as San Marzano straight from the vine are not very tasty at all.  Any great italian restaurant which always uses San Marzanos will ALWAYS used canned as the flavor is better and more concentrated.

No such thing as eating "clean".  Foods are not dirty or clean.
What if i drop them on the floor. Are they still neutral?

I'm sure that is very true, TA. And I have nothing against junk / fast food or canned food - I literally live on that stuff myself ;D

Just saying that eating a fresh tomato isn't the same as eating 3 month old canned tomato. Maybe it doesn't matter much when you're eating around 3000 - 4000 calories everyday, but I think a middle-of-the-road approach to dieting, where you eat "clean" most of the time and some fast food a few times a week is better than extremes, like eating only chicken and rice for every meal or eating exclusively at McDonalds.

Well a Fresh tomato from a crappy plant or an inept gardener is not gonna be any good. :)

That's very generous. Where I'm from, we give it no more than 5 seconds.

I don`t even get 10 seconds as either Greyound will do their very best to swoop it up and then wolf it down before I can even react.

Adonis and Wave (and ill assume u) don't actually carry that much muscle, which isn't to say they aren't muscular, but cutting from 185 to 165 and holding muscle is significantly easier for holding muscle than cutting from 260 down to 225, as your muscle isn't in excess so u don't really havw much to lose.  So your expiremint isn nearly as impressive as you'd like it to be.

I have never seen a lifetime natural under 6 feet go from 260 to 225 shredded though. They make it easier (resp. possible) using other methods.

And yes, I approve as well. ;D

lets face it tho.
You cant eat much junk food because they contain so many more calories in them compared to healthy food

1 Cake, 400-500 calories...doesnt last 10 seconds

15 Salt and Vinegar ricecakes, 400 calories...can last the whole day

That may b true, I don't really care about lifetime natural or not, I care about impressive physiques.  IMO its pretty sad for a 180lb guy to invest so much time, thought, planning, and effort into 'holding onto muscle' on his way down to 165lbs. There's minimal muscle there to begin with.

Yeah but the only reason why ricecakes last a whole day is because they taste horrible. ;D
I'd rather eat what I like for 10 seconds. But whatever is most convenient.

That's a different topic though.

On topic: I don't think that the nutrition details mentioned in this thread (like "clean" and "junk" food, meal frequency, etc.) contribute to a juicer's physique anymore than to that of a non-juicer. Probably even less so.

not at all, they taste great and are completely low calorie.

I could eat 4 doughnuts in 10 minutes, but that would be a whole day's worth of calories right there....then all of a sudden im hungry 6 hours later and im not allowed to eat.
This is where the diet fails in my opinion....bad food contain far too many calories so therefore you can barely eat anything

i have done many cuts over the years following the macro rules, eating every 3 hours, not eating many carbs,
no carbs before bed, blah blah blah

everytime around 10-25% of the weight was muscle loss

FINALLY wave and adonis got to me

my recent cut has been eating when i want(about 4 times a day)....i go 5 hours without a meal at times

i just count calories, and protein, no carb or fat counting....i get just under 1gm protein per lb of bodyweight

most of my carbs come from sugar(preserves, orange juice, honey, fruit)...i also eat brown rice, potatoes, veggies

whole eggs only...not this bullshit egg white trend that is fucking ridiculous

i am losing exactly 1 lb a week and in 4 weeks have not lost a single ounce of muscle(i measure bodyfat each week)

i drink orange juice right before bed(no carbs before bed is bullshit)

IT IS ALL ABOUT CALORIES, DON'T MAKE SHIT SO COMPLICATED

I'm losing 1 to 2 pounds a week.  Looking better than I ever have, this is the way to go IMO!

You're right, never seen a gb thread go off topic...

They matter much much more when it comes to cutting, muscle is in excess and it is work to hold onto it, u don't really believe that juice is magic that allows you to simply grow and hold muscle with no regard for other factors?  Nutrition doesn't even factor in at 185lbs, look how many high school football players way 190 just from working out and eating shit.

Of course nutrition factors in, regardless of weight.

You need protein and intense weight training to hold on to your muscle mass.

Bodybuilders (juicers or not) use very different diet methods. Some use more frequent meals, some less. Some follow a high carb diet, some a low carb or keto diet. Some try different, apparently opposing methods one after the other and have great success either way. A very small set of basic rules remains the same for all those successful methods.

wavelength,

if a client is increasing their caloric intake to go from "diet phase" to "maintainence", how much should they increase a week (maximally) ?

of course, slow and steady would be the course of action to insure a smooth transition

Exactly. I do try to eat "healthier", opting for foods that aren't absolutely loaded with the wrong fats or just completely disproportionate (it's gotta have SOME protein) and I've been losing a ton of fat as well. It's much easier to live happier and eat what you'd like. If you stop stressing over your diet, that alone is going to let your body lose fat while retaining or gaining muscle.

I don't go too nuts, but I'll eat pizza, burgers, chips, ice cream, anything I want. I try to keep my insulin sensitivity optimal and when I do, it makes a huge difference. Put away the dry, baked chicken breasts, egg whites and god awful brown rice.

Uh Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are around 250 calories a piece.  They smaller ones as well.  So you only eat 1000 calories a day?  Thats not much at all.

I don`t know a single High School football player that weighs 190 lbs ripped and could win a Natural Pro Card.
