Best of Pride being showed on Spike, watch it and you'll understand why Pride was so much better then the UFC...hell the ring announcer and ramp alone make Pride better!

K 1 and pride in general was way better than UFC.


half the 'stars' in the UFC wouldn't last a round with a top fighter in K 1.

Nota fanboy but Pride fucking rocked. I scored one of their sick black jerseys with the red trim before they took them off the online store. Get comments on it all the time at the gym.

They treated the events like rock concerts. The atmosphere was unimaginable. And the fans didn't fucking boo the fighters like all the slack jawed yokels in the States!!! Pride brings back so much nostalgia. I still can't come to grips that it's gone. Glad there's now Dream and tons of cross promotions between all the different organizations though.


Did your catch Dynamite 2009? Literally EVERY fight was worth watching. Got it in HD on my PVR. Feels reminiscent of the Pride GPs. :)

Frye recently quit MMA for good too. Sick of the UFC and all the shitty promotion bullshit and weak payout. Starting to become a little like boxing. I heard that Don King is seriously considering moving into the MMA realm.

He's been saying that for awhile.

Frye's been doing a few (small roles) movies so he'd probably looking to change careers while his health is still intact.
