...actually, no.
The Pentagon and CIA spent billions on remote viewing (and have done so with many other such projects) despite being advised time and again by actual scientists that such spending was totally wasteful.
Funnily, it's warmonger morons such as yourself who react with irrational apoplexy whenever a dime is spent on any social program, yet you are blind to this type of waste.
Last year the American government spend as much on just the Banker Bailout and the military as it took in total tax revenues... every cent of real government spending was borrowed.
Next time you whine about taxes, remember, half of what you pay in taxes is military spending... of that half, half is simply wasted and three quarters (or more) is unnecessary.
The Luke
The reality is you have no clue what the Pentagon or CIA is spending on projects. The
most anybody not involved with the process can ascertain is the
total amount of funds appropriated to all intelligence agencies.
In fact, you have no clue how many people work for the CIA, what their functions are, how much they are paid, and what, if any, perks they receive.
Further, it would be folly for intelligence agencies not to look at the efficacy of all potential threats and that takes time and money.
Scientists rarely talk in clear cut laymen terms. And, as such, if you are making an evaluation of a threat, you have to hire scientists to interpret, analyze, and make conclusions on the data. The hiring process alone can get pricey given the extensive background checks that have to be made.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there is no government waste. In fact, there's undoubtedly way too much. But throwing out baseless claims that we're blowing huge sums on this project or that project is just that - a baseless claim.
