Everybody will be forgotten. The new generation dose't care about old schmoes. Ask a 18 year old person if they can mention 2 famous moviestars from the 40ies.
True to an extent. A vast majority of celebrities and the like make an impact during there times and then are forgotten. BUT there have been some names in time that have not been forgotten and never will be because of the influence and the culture changing effect that they caused. Think of Hitler, Elvis, Caeser, Bonaparte, The Beatles, Washington, Lincoln, Jesus, etc. These people started or reestablished something in the eyes of the world to such an extent that can not be forgotten because of all the people they inspired to carry on a trend that they started. Arnold did this for fitness and being in shape on a WORLDWIDE level and started/influencing gyms all around the universe. He is the reason it is in our mainstream subconsciousness and most likely will never be forgotten and his movies are just part of it, not the whole. When anybody thinks about the gym, getting in shape, fitness, and the like, Arnold is also in that thought as well and people will be getting in shape 100 years from now. His body and presence is that strong and he has achieved the level and power he has today because of this. The only reason why he will never be president is because he wasn't born in America. And if he ever ran, he would would win and would be well received regardless how well he did in office all because of his aura/influence. No matter how many years pass by "Arnold" will be a name that is always thought of one person. And if you still doubt it, think of it this way. When your dead and gone (let's say 70 years from now) Arnold will still be around in legend and going strong for what he brought to the world and you'll never be able to see it end...
