probably re-instituting blackstrap molasses at high doses
« on: January 24, 2010, 02:25:22 PM »
seems to have the right amount of copper in it wich assimilates the high iron content in it aswell, remember there are two types of iron, meat has the type of iron associated with early death and cancers

also the calcium magnesium phosphorus are at high levels in this product, wich is desperatley needed because we lose bone mass everytime we have anything with sugar in it or meat, because the body pulls from its natural bone calcium stores to neutralize acids from foods in the gut

so this stuff is like a win win because you cant survive or function on low carb anyways maybe if your 18 and are still living off young man genetics/not yet grown man genetics. So as a man we have to have alot of carbs but have to remedy the bone loss with this molasses because not only for its calcium content but the copper/iron ratio

you see many of us probably have chronic inflamation on a level that we havent even pinpointed yet but have accepted it as a self failure rather that nutritional when we cant get in that 8:30 am workout before work because we cant muster up the effort when in reality this effort is "conjested" by real inflamation that is going on , on the muscular level every make the , everytime you workout you cause this acidic state as well as your bones try to neutralize the acid from your working out, and milk doesnt always help to replenish the calcium the way we wish aswell as there are probably other things in milk wich make milk acidic DEFEATING the alkalizing effect of calcium

I can only concur. It's sad that this type of intricate knowledge is only whisked away by so many and not considered or forgotten.

I wonder if whey powders like milk can also have this poor effect on joints/infection in the body or if it's only diary like milk. There is the acidifying aspect of imbalance, but there is also a direct action of proteins in for example the condition of gout etc. And the action of purines from to much legumes. I think high amount of most proteins are detrimental in the long run.

We have to have some complex carbs and fats to get enough calories

Copper. Until recently, most Western doctors dismissed the idea of wearing copper bracelets to treat arthritis as folklore. Researchers in Australia, however, have found that people who wear copper and take aspirin experience more effective arthritis pain relief than those who treat their pain with aspirin only.

i beleive we have to have an ulimited supply of calories if the goal is simply to acheive  , but we also have to reduce the inflamation/open up pathways for assimilation of the energy consumed

it maybe "sad" but its certainly predictable, this site is like a "Gallop poll" of randomly selected responses out of a community

this thread alone reveals around 50 percent would rather ping there swords than gain knowledge

its hard to make warriors learn anything new, they also have a shorter life span, balding ect..

ways to enhance iron absorption

Vitamin C, which also enhances nonheme iron absorption from foods eaten in the same meal, is the most potent promoter of nonheme iron absorption. Vitamin C captures iron and keeps it in the ferrous form, ready for absorption. Other factors that enhance nonheme iron absorption include citric acid and lactic acid from foods, as well as HCl from the stomach.

ways that inhibit

Some dietary factors bind with nonheme iron, inhibiting absorption. These include the phytates and fibers in whole grain cereals and nuts, the calcium and phosphorus in milk and supplements, the EDTA in food additives, and tannic acid. Tannic acid is present in tea, coffee, nuts and some fruits and vegetables. Recent studies reveal that soy may inhibit iron absorption

im still a big coffee drinker but i know i must use even more black strap molasses since coffee inhibits some of my iron absorption

i also eat alot of grains too wich may slow some iron assimilation

i heard about this diet, if you have PKU (phenylketonuria), an inherited condition in which a special diet must be followed to prevent mental retardation.
