you don't use them, so what difference does it make if they have 200 lb dumbbells
You could get really fat and try side pressing them like Anderson: . .Even thought most will never use them, it's kinda sweet going to a gym that has all sorts of bars, strongman equipment, etc.... It's shows that the owner's do care about people getting strong, etc..... instead of just buying another treadmill or something.
we have those at my gym but they are covered in dust
I just join a new Gym in my area and I was full of joy when I spotted a pair of 200's in the weight room. the Manager told me that he has a few meathead in the Gym who've been complaining for years to upgrade the dumbell Rack, and the manager, being the smart man that he is, Listened to his customers...hahahahahaha ha.........$43/month basic membership aint bad.
Unless you're on heavy doses of AAS and have been for years stay the fuck away from those. First of all they are real awkward and you will probably sacrifice all good form trying to do anything with those. Also those are just a hernia or a slip disc away from being out of the gym for months. The only thing I would ever consider those for would be DB shrugs or deads. Maybe some one arm tricep kickbacks.......kidding.
I came to this thread expecting tits.
Cool, though I would have a hard time just dead-lifting them...
Ya, the gym I use to go to in Milwaukee's had them. I think the only person that used them was Art Atwood when he use to workout there. Otherwise nice dust catchers!
Animal House is a hell of a nice gym. Nothing like it near me in the NW burbs of Chicago
Ya that gym is awesome. The only gym that seems decent here is Golds in Gurnee..that is close anyway. Near my work everyone talks about Chuck Sanow's gym being a good gym.
our gym goes up to at least 150's and I haven't seen anyone come near them to use
Is Flex Gym still around?
if you can do barbell shrugs with 405lbs, Grabbing a pair of these 200lbs dumbbells won't be as easy.
Who cares, you'll never even come close to lifting them, in your whole life.
Exactly, I rarely see guys go over the 130's, and when they do, it's the fat powerlifters using them for shrugs.
it's not about lifting them, Bozo. it's what you can get out of them.
