I have two children, most fullfilling thing i have ever done in my life, raising a family in todays western materialised world isn't easy would love to have had more, but giving each child the time they need and being able to afford to educate them properly and take care of them the way i feel i need to, by having the best health care plan etc is important to me, affordability isn't the reason i didn't have more, it was more a time thing, I don't see the point of having them if you cant spend time with them, but there are plenty of good kids that come from environments such as boarding schools that turned our academically alright without a huge personal influence from their parents, but as its my time and choice i need to give my children the best opportunity's in life and as much personal time as i can find,so that hopefully they get more from me than just an opportunity to get a good education but thats just the way i approach things.

It may be taboo and uncomfortable to talk about such things but never discount genetic sexual attraction.  Somewhere around 20 percent of all females are molested.  Perhaps even more.

Now thinking about it and being repulsed by it or not being repulsed by it occurs 100 percent of the time.  

As you can see from several posts on this thread that parents and potential parents fear who their kin will select as a mate and therefore have already formed a mental picture and scenario of the act or acts of sex their offspring will commit and engage in with whomever it may be.  They in fact are seeing their kin in a sexual manner and gauging the potential sexuality of their offspring.  Some even wish to go a bit further and prohibit any such act unless it is to their standard. (perhaps someone more like themselves)  They wish to regulate their offspring`s sexual economy with self-imposed and self-biased regulation.  We have to then ask, what is the basis of their regulation and why.

Your first sentence-"most fullfilling thing i have ever done in my life".  Is this indicative of the main reason you chose to have children?  In other words, you were lacking fulfillment and needed a solution and offspring were it.  Or is this simply hindsight and a by-product that you did not expect?

I am curious as to how and why you arrived at your decision if it was or was not out of vanity or if some other area in your life or relationship was lacking or not.

Perhaps it wasn`t even your idea but your companion`s idea and you just went along.  Perhaps a mutual decision?  Can you take us through YOUR process and agreement?

Go a little bit deeper for us if you may as I am generally curious as to the decision making process.  I hope you are not taking my line of questioning in a negative way.

I can perhaps fathom that when the daughter is a teenager and hot. Only then can I believe anyone would entertain that thought for the briefest of seconds. If she's young, sorry, genetic attraction or not, those thoughts shouldn't come up. ever.
