In what world would it be possible for Barack Obama to Not be smart? certainly not on planet earth, where the president on the harvard law review is basically the highest academic honor one can recieve in law... While I am very dissapointed in Obama's presidency so far, the man is highly intelligent and there is no debate about that. I do see a ton of things that he needs to be doing better or differently or not at all. But i cant attribute these failures to lack of intelligence, or to lack of will, but to his own belief that it would be impossible for him to get enough support in the congress and senate for his so-called "radical" ideas (such as universal healthcare, gay marriage, abortion funding)...so like clinton did before him, he is trying to meet them half way..because he thinks compromise is the only way past the bitter partisanship of the representatives and senators.
its probably lack of decisive firm leadership, asserting that these changes can be done, (liek how he
used to talk about policy when he was campaigning)....why the people cant get him full suport, is because they dont think it can be done either. they need him to believe in it before we do.
