i didnt always want to be a cage fighter
« on: January 31, 2010, 05:33:10 PM »
i didnt always want to be a cage fighter

growing up in the 70s i had never even heard of the ufc before

my first real exposure to fighting was the movie bloodsport in the 80s.

me and my friends who coreograph the fighters moves and sometimes even make pretend our own fights
i still think to this day bloodsport is the best fight movie to this day

i new at that time it was my destiny to fight in the ufc someday

unfortunately i didnt, and my parents didnt have the money for ufc lessons so my dream was put on hold

it was only recently revived at ufc 100. as i've said before brock lesner is the reason i started training in ufc again

it just goes to show that you should never give up on your dream even if you couldnt have it right away

somtimes other things come up first. i got married and was busy working and providing for my wife

sometimes are lives take a different path then we first believed but that different path can still lead to the same dream

Yeah...I gave up on the dream too... I figured I'm too pretty to walk around with black eyes and bloody lips

also the cauliflower ears seem to disgust girls...I have two friends that wrestle and do grappling that have them and girls look at them like gollum from LOTR

i started watching ufc at ufc 100 when lesner fought mir
i had always been a fight fan from my days of watching martial arts movies
i finally took the next step to start training after watching TUF Heavywaits

so in reality both are true
lesner introduced me to ufc and gave me the passion but TUF ignited the flame

i dont deserve to be banned i didnt do nothing wrong
sometimes people dont like my opinion but i always present it respectfully even while people insult me
