It's not...very very fictionalized and only loosely based on Oher's life.

Its based on Micheal Oher and the touey family. They are NOT fictional charicters. Who told you guys that?

Talked to Michael Oher...he takes exception with ALOT of how the movie portrayed him.

why? it was no different than any other "feel good" movie

glad i downloaded a screener instread of paying 10 bucks for the theater

I read the book, "The Blindside" by Lewis and thought it was a nice read. (Better than "Liar's Poker" or "Moneyball.")

It did a nice job talking about Oher's story from a poor, uneducated, essentially homeless kid, to the NFL. What was more interesting was how Lewis delved into the rise in the prominence and pay of offensive linemen, especially offensive tackles, after LT (the original) revolutionized the role of the linebacker and the QB needed protection.

Saw the preview to the movie and was very disappointed it became a Sandra Bullock feelgood flick. (I like Bullock, don't get me wrong; I was just more interested in the sports side of the story.)

Did the movie go into any of the prominence of the O-line, Coach? Or was it just about the family taking in Oher and making him believe in himself/a succes, etc.?
