ABSOLUTELY NOT  that pisses me off...how did I know that it would be a little lap dog that had this done to them...

Ppl let those dogs get away with everything simply b/c they are small, perhaps they should try training them instead of "debarking"

this has more to do with the owners lack of responsibility than the dogs barking imho

Here's another good one  
I know someone who had their dog's teeth removed (puppy) because he "nipped".     I can't believe a vet would even do that.

I knew a lady who had a collie that had been "debarked" before she got it.  It still "barked" but it sounded muffled.

Can you imagine if the kitty got his/her claw stuck while scratching?  Or if it got in a fight with another cat?
