No wonder, Melvin is more busy with nail polishing & break dancing while Gus is more in love with his familiy and jet ski. They simply lost their passion for hitting the iron hard.

Melvin got into acting. Don't think he is dependent on his BB-income anymore.

JoJ looks ridiculous doing those laterals, if only he had the lower half to match that upper body.

Lord only knows why Shariar is in there too. I know he's a guy that stirs up a lot of shit and gets people talking about him, but i can't see how he belongs with the rest of thsoe guys.

Also, is that Matt Duval i see towards the end?

boy...and they kept charles and joj (just like melvin, 2 shows spot-on n that's a career)  for a mthly check.  lets see who are better replacements

ed nunn - ronnie written all over him if he can find the magic potion
troy alves - great looking body and marketable over 40

hopefully... melvin has a backup plan cause it's not going to get better.  components and size arent there for branch type placement.
Melvin looked his best when he first turned pro. And Dex had said in a interview that Melvin shouldn't come in bigger, it ruins his lines. He should be about 225-229 or so, because he has the lines of Flex Wheeler. Now, maybe Melvin might have taken this as Dex trying give false advice, so that Melvin would come in too light to fight, but I always thought he was correct about this.

This is the case with most pro's, esp Flex, Ronnie & Kevin

Melvin was about 229 when he turned pro, as well. And looked effing insane, I have his vid "Marvelous" which shows him going into the 1999 USAs. Like a lesser version of Flex.

melvin is in the 40s club now when u start to call it a day.  hopefully he got a better backup plan than Cormier training with Yates.   Kevin got more talent and look at his movie career.  too ole to be an extra for kid break dancers.  stunt man?

Great shape on his NPC victory, minus the quads & chest thickness. How many todays "pro's" have a waist like his?

What took so long!?!? neither Anthony or Badell haven't been relevant since about 2003..

How do you figure that? Anthony won 2 shows, since 2003: The Night of Champions (2004) and the Atlantic City Pro (2008). And he placed top 6 at the Olympia three straight years (2006-2008).

I don't see that as not being relevant.

Gustavo pulled off a win right before the 2009 Olympia and placed 3rd in the Olympia twice (2004 and 2005). How is that not relevant?

Oh yeah every hardcore video should start with hardcore lateral raises. Dexter looked like he didn't give a fuck when they did deadlifts.

That's a demo video from 2005 (right before Dexter left for MET-Rx). Why did whoever posted this on YouTube dub over the original music?

Three consecutive top-6 Olympia placings and two wins (Anthony)

Three pro wins (most recently, right before the 2009 Olympia) and two 3rd place Olympia spots (Badell)

They really lost their passion, alright.

That's funny!! At least three men won/retained an Olympia title in their 40s (Columbu, Dickerson, Coleman).

Lou Ferrigno competed at his all-time best, 315 lbs, and placed 10th at the 1993 Olympia at age 41.

Bill Pearl won his fourth NABBA Mr. Universe at his all-time best 241 lbs, defeating Oliva, Zane, Draper, and Columbu, in his 40s.

And lest not forget about the legendary Vince Taylor, who was still placing high in the Olympia and Arnold Classic in his 40s.

Toney Freeman's in his 40s, too. Didn't he just win a show in late 2009?

I'm talking about their last year. Gus's Atlantic City Pro win last year was nice but the level from the other competitors wasn't mindblowing on that show. Remember that it's important to show your face 2-3 times a year on stage with the exception for a O' top-3 placer.

That is the intro to Video 3 (Secrets of the Pros) of a series of promo DVDs that MuscleTech did in 2005.

Hosted by Christian Boevig, the roundtable features: Chris Cormier, Branch Warren, King Kamali, Jay Cutler, and Johnnie Jackson.

Duval is featured more in the other two videos ("Mission of Massive Proportions" and "Only the Strong Survive"). Most of Duval's input comes in "Only the Strong Survive", in which he narrates through the "An One Inch in 24 Hours?" arm workout.

My favorite line of his is in the "Armed and Dangerous" (arm-training portion with Jay Cutler) part of the video. After Duval stated that once you're done with hard training, you should feel tired and spent, ready to eat and rest, Boeving asked Duval, I don't know; I forgot where I heard it. But it's not like having sex with a woman and getting off? That whole orgasmic thing isn't true?"

To which Duval slyly replied, "Maybe for Arnold. But if Arnold trained with me, that would be the last thing on his mind!"

I'm referring to his body of work, overall. Again, he's defeated Dexter Jackson TWICE at the Olympia. And, he's placed 3rd, when doing that.

Melvin has had a top 5 finish at the O, and top 6 as well. I believe he has constantly remained in the top 10 at the Mr. O as well.

Muscletech is losing money after the "supplement" debacle. They have to lose the deadweight. Which should be Kamali as well. He is not just deadweight, he's corrosive for business. But they may find that he brings attention---which is what Muscletech doesn't need right now. They need to repair their image, which Melvin and Gus could do, if marketed correctly.

Kamali is not with MT

He has a great and long career, thats for sure. I just noticed on his page he's found a new one:
