I thought about a trip there but just saw other places of interest.  Thought it was too expensive for the rate of return.  again if u go Caribbean then try DR carnival.  but i might add that dominicans are some odd individuals when it comes to recognizing afro culture.

I know, I had that experience a few yrs ago, and the Dom chick was brown skinned too, about 3-4 shades lighter than me.

Yeah, what's ironic is that her family made her out to be a goodie goodie. "Sintia was a good woman, hard worker", yet Sintia was messing not just with him, but a bigger fish in the game. She was fine as frog's hair, and she didn't want no ordinary dude who went to college like her.

I say this becaus I am listening to Michael Baisden about a topic called "The gym or else", because you know that a lot of black women slack off on their bodies here. And you know that the women reppin the different Samba schools go to the gym, for x amount of months to get ready for Carnival, would the emphasis on the queens in Mardi to be in shape, spearhead a movement of body consciousness?

MG is about the social clubs as noted and that's a man's thing for like 100yrs now...so it aint changing.  City of 500k vs one of 11mil so u get that part.  They tried it yrs back and it tanked...so the queen n them debbies play backseat.  it's more about how a family can front the most money...so must are dogs. Blk women dont like to lifting weights on a large scale...so one yr of hitting the gym 5 days aint going over...probably with white women it would.  anyway...two different worms.  they have their function...so the choice is your's.
