No, it's not a smear.  I believe a lot of things about political figures, from today and history.  this is a place for debate on politics and political figures.

This is about JUDGMENT.  A VP selection needs good judgment.

When any person's water breaks, then she gets on 2 planes without informing pilot, she shows terrible judgment.

If she had killed a person in a lake (kennedy), judgment would be shown to be bad.  He rightfully lost chance at presidency as a result of personal behavior showing poor judgment.

If she risked the life of a 7-month old preemie with downs - flying 2 flights with NO internal water - that showed equally poor judgment with another human life.  Would you agree?

and I respect you as well james - I definitely do.  I understand you like Palin a lot, and you know that I have disliked her from the beginning.  I have worked very hard not to bring her up unless it is relevant to FUTURE party direction - tea party was certainly relevant.  She is the 2012 frontrunner as of right now, without a doubt.

I don't think this pregnancy nonsense belongs in discussion anymore.  I believe her own words on this situation showed very poor judgment - or dishonesty.  I would like to know which you think it is, but if you don't want to answer, that is cool.  And going fwd, I don't think it is relevant for the 2012 campaign, if there is one.  It's history now.

I dont see any slippery slope. It is a very straight line, On one side we have people like you, that thinks it is ok to smear Sarah and write that the "child is not really her child" and to continue to smear her in that subject.  And I am on the other side, as I think that it is wrong, whether it is Obama, Clinton, Bush or Palin's children, or anything to do with their children.

I'm surprised 240 is so consistently conciliatory on the point of Palin's pregnancy. There was a LOT of evidence to suggest that the baby wasn't hers- it wasn't just a conspiracy or a smear. Don't forget that what silenced the gossip that she was covering for her teenaged daughter's pregnancy is the fact that the teenaged daughter eventually got pregnant. The whole Levi thing seemed to be more about showing a good face than any intention of an actual relationship.

You criticize Maddow for taking the census worker story at face value, yet you nitwits are doing the same thing? Every place that has posted this info has attributed it to the same news article... which attributed it to the same anonymous family member.    What does it even mean? If she's a far left extremist, then she may not have even been a supporter of his. She may have been obsessed with criticizing him because he was not far left enough. I can think of at least one person who criticized Obama on a daily basis that I would describe as being obsessed to the point of being off-putting.
