That wasnt a swipe at bush.. If you watch the movie Aliens, Cameron has always tried to be militarily technical with his sci fi movies. Being a former Marine, I wouldnt be surprised if Cameron also was a Marine.... Daisy cutters were used in Vietnam to clear landing zones for Helos. Shock and Awe is a military term, not a bush term.

They've created a scenario where this stuff is so valuable that killing everyone and destroying a planet justifies getting it but coming up with a name that doesn't make people laugh just wasn't worth the effort. Another silly thing is only having greed instead of clean fuel source, cure for obesity, kills muslims or some other intrinsic value that justified needing it so badly.

well if the coments were about the iraq war, and the south, then those comments would be about Bush, as you already pointed out. They would be directly at bush and/or supporters of the iraq war, and the south. In no way would that be direct or indirect shot at conservatism, which is a term for a political idealogy which focuses on minimizing taxes, and minimizing government regulations in the business spectre.
