The Bush administration did do a good job.It was when the dems took control of the congress and senate that it fell apart. Before that UE was never over 4.9%.Bush was ruined by democrats, who ruin everything they touch.

Yep. Also we shouldnt forget that the Dems controlled the Senate in the first two years of Bush. The middle four years of Bush were the best of his eight years economically, and they were the four years in which Republicans controlled both houses of Congress and the White House. Actually, to be fair, Bush along with the Hastert and Delay Republicans wasnt ideal, but he was definately made far worse when the Democrats took power. But atleast he blocked a lot of bad legislation unlike his dad.

In contrast, Bill Clinton was a disaster until the Gingrich Republicans got a hold of him and made him a fairly good president.

Clinton was made to look better than he was with the Gingrich Republicans and the Tech bubble, and Bush was made to look worse than he was with the Hastert Republicans, the popping of the Tech bubble, Nancy Pelosi, and the popping of the housing bubble and the crumbling of the world that FDR created. One of the good things about Obama being president is that people are getting a lot of clarity right now about what the left is like, and they wouldnt have gotten that if John McCain had won.

In that case, billy, Bush failed by allowing the dems to win back the house and senate.

He campaigned for these guys - and they still lost.

if it's all the dems fault, you have to thank the guy who escroted them into office - Bush.

Bush lost the house and senate because of Iraq. The economy was doing fine. Ofcourse I guess people werent thinking about that when they voted in Barack Obama in the White House because of the economy, and then allowed the Dems to keep both houses of Congress. Which is why people deserve what they are getting today.

Why they all sat onstage at the Reagan Library and mocked Ron paul for being HONEST about the bad shape of the economy, stupid spending and tax cuts for the rich, and trouble for which we were heading - every single one of those d-bag's mocked him.  They all said we were on solid ground, that the current admin was doing a bang-up job on the economy.

That's because we WERE on solid ground. The good thing about always predicting a recession is that you eventually will be right. Espeacially in a world in which the economy is one big giant pyramid scheme.
