despite how pathetic I paint myself on here, I actually do pick up some ladies in real life.  Like at the market, mall, library, funeral..all the normal places

but, i got to admit that there are alot of good looking panochitas on the interweb dating sites

so, does it make you pathetic to join one of these sites or is it just the way the dating scene is these days?

mind you, i would just be using the intraweb as a supplement to my real life ventures

btw, ron, definately, should consider adding "Douchebag" Tags for like this one

my wife's cousin met her husband to be on facebook.

he killed someone a couple years ago and is now getting out of jail.

her parents were against the marriage so he broke into their house and "stole" her.

yeah I agree, but as a whole, America's standards have gone down. So, if the real life situation is shit and people put up fronts, then the online game, is more front of a front. I know of a cople who met online, they have 4 cats...that sats it all. Another couple I know, girl is fine as all get out, turns out she's been turned out more times Jenna Jamison.

Then again, because I'm a black smurf, I have to go on my personality. Imagine a chick meeting after setting up something online, "I didn't know you are that short."

agreed but ,again, i wanna stress that the Online scene is more of a supplement to my real life game.....dear GOD, I sound like a dick

plus, i understand that alot of the "dating sites" are really just "hook up" sites.  Like Match.com- i understand that it is a hook up site disguised as a "find that special someone" site

I would think most bodybuilders prefer the washroom at truckstops and the Mirage hotel for their dating needs...

I actually think you get a better chance to get to know them by chatting a bunch before the date via e-mail, msnger or whatever. If the person is a retard, you usually can tell pretty quickly after a couple conversations, whereas in real life, it may take you a couple dates and a hundred bucks before you notice this. BUT, online can also give you a different perception of the person then what you get face to face.

I know of a real pretty blonde former co-worker who met her new man on Match.com. She is 26 and desperate to get married, like her older sister. She is pretty and yes wifey material.
Fling.com makes no bones about what it is. Although, I always suspected that there are not that many dimepieces searching for hookups--damn fakers. And their ads use pics from other sites, or pornsites or modelmayhem chicks.

I view a lot of those sites like I view shady car salesman. Buyer beware. If a female is 32 yrs old, fine as hell, and
"intelligent", then WTF is she doing on match.com?

Facebook is kinda good, but most mofos want to hit, the ones who want to date the chick, either cockblock on the ones who want to hi, or wait in line, after those dudes.

Used Ferrari for sale. Special.

Flexb, that is sometimes true. But, for instance, IRL I sound like I do online. What you see is what you get. Now if I was on a hip-hop site, you'd think I was speaking in Algonquin code or something.
People can put up a good faux online persona. But real charm is seen in person.

i agree with this the first date you go on seems a lot smoother due to you knowing background on the person so really you are just asking follow up questions...plus you can weed out the retards  a bit faster

But in the same breath i think since the social stigma has been forgotten to it, it has gotten a lot more greasier due to people not being as worried what everyone will think of them for being on there where that stigma had held the playas back a little bit

if you're single and on facebook, you are an online dater

saying that you are "here for friendship" is an absolute lie

JNN,

What is the goal?

To nail 4 or 5 new girls a week and remain single forever?
Or to find the right girl, settle down, make babies, etc?

Unfortunately 240, most people nowadays have kids with 4-5 new girls. And that "right girl"? Well, you settle down with her, have babies then split up after a few yrs. Quality has gone down the drain. The main impetus for that is Baby Boomer Parenting.
It's best to just hit and run, run as fast as one can to another, then run again.

I would never reduce myself to "online dating" not that I need to either...  ::)

I enjoy hitting a girl up with a little game and then seeing the reactions etc.

How can you determine attraction electronically anyway... fucck that right?

Pictures, lots. lol although they can be misleading sometimes. The internet gives you avenues to meeting people you would have never met in "real life." I'm a success story to meeting a girl (future wife) from FB.
