Surprise, Surprise. The NFL players union against HGH tests
« on: February 25, 2010, 07:29:01 AM »
No shit!  They know that right now over 50% would fail if the test was legit.  Anyone who thinks these athletes are just gifted is a fool.  A 6'8" 350 lineman who runs a 4.8 40 is not natural.

Heres what one of the union guys said

The NFL and NFLPA can change the terms of the collectively bargained steroids-testing program without a new labor contract. But the union is balking.

"At this point, there's no reason to believe that blood-testing for NFL players will or should be implemented," George Atallah, union assistant executive director of external affairs, told The New York Post. "We should instead focus on preserving the drug-testing policy that we have in place."

This guy sounds almost as bad as Bob Chick with the IFBB drug testing policy

I agree with you 100%.  How naive is the general public not to understand this?

Many still think Creatine is a steroid, but don't know that the birth control pills that their wives/daughters/girlfriends are.

hahahaha some serious BS lines from them.

of course, if/when they do implement gh testing, you will see performance plummet :(  and of course, our favorite players will go back to retiring at 33 instead of playing at peak levels at age 40...

I don't see the issue, who the fuck cares what someone puts in their body. IT'S THEIR BODY.

Over controlling assholes.

I agree. Testing is bullshit. It favors those who have money to cheat on the tests. So it creates unequality.

gh can help retain muscle through its anti-glucose metabolism efects that keep the body from using amio acids for gluconeogensis. most likely nfl guys use it for that purpouse when they come off cycle for the season.  but performance will not plummet. GH has nothing to do with strength speed or athletic ability. nfl players would mostly use gh to keep them lean, keep them pretty, keep them young.  as most people do

The test only identifies synthetic gh....so, if you can get ahold of a cadaver you can do all the hgh you want...

That's true. I meant it more in general. Between countries and between athletes of almost every sport.

All the players in the NFL are millionaires. They all have money...except for the last 15 roster spots and the practice teams.  they one cut from grocer job.

fixed.

that's what the little groupie girls think.  come on...parker.  your posts are better than that.  3 yr career in nfl for minimum salary dont make you a millionaire.  they try to live front the lifestyle of the bigger players (for the women).

miami was payin' 65-75k for practice squad...
that's never suit up for a game and be used as a tackle dummy... but at least your in postion to show off skills and'or develop if any...
oh yeah and you get 65-75 k so,,, that's nice too,,, jobs a job.

as far as orig topic,,,
decreased rev hurts everyone so... it's a unique money makin machine that's in place now,,, surprised why anyone would rock the boat,,, things could happen,,, money that gets kicked around becomes less/none...  strikes,,, which can be ok for struggling/aspiring players but hurts system.
very delicate situation.

The smart ones start HGH, get stronger and then get picked up off of the PS and make the team roster.

A lot of the fans don't care, especially (as of late) if they're from New Orleans.

Hope his hell is that  his baby repeatedly strangles him with the umbilical cord.

G, you are right, I was thinking about the starters.
