Yates took the muscularity round in 91, so he was already "knocking on the door", 92 would have been close. 93 Yates would have trampled haney.

nice video.. really very strange the audience booed haney!!.. i am guessing may be he had said some bad comments on dorian's physique in magazines before the show so dorian's fans booed him?!..

imo if haney competed at the same shape of 91 for 3 more years (from 92-94) in 92 he would have deserved to beat dorian and would have come 2nd in 93 then 1st again in 94.. so he could have become 10 x mr. olympia winner!!..

but in 96 and 97 nasser would have made him his bitch

Anyone got the story on why they Booyed Haney?  Just massive amount of dorian nut huggers, or did he do somthing bad the previous year???

Also it's interesting how 92 and 93 saw the competition step up a notch as Levrone and Wheeler arived on the scene. I'm not convinced Haney could have kept the title against these guys anyway. The 90s physiques were insane.

Or maybe he could have continued to improve if it was the drugs that accounted for the sudden size increase in the 90s. He was a good deal bigger in 91 than in past years so maybe he was capable of being a proper mass monster but bowed out after 8 years of mashing his internal organs.

It was odd, but my best guess is that we had entered the 'Dorian Era' and the booing came from the Dorian fans. Who was the last man to beat Dorian Yates but Lee Haney.
