More on the StrikeForce Mess...
« on: February 25, 2010, 06:01:50 PM »

Does anyone honestly know what's going on with Strikeforce?

WKR is still waiting for details on those female tournaments but everyone else wants to talk about the April card so we will leave those tourney's aside and go along with the herd.

Currently the rumor is that Strikeforce is planning on holding their April event in Nashville, Tennessee. No wait! I mean California. Wait! It's Nashville again. Oh my god, the rumor now is that Strikeforce wants to hold the first ever MMA event on Pandora ... you get the idea.

Despite the uncertainty we do know that middleweight champion, Jake Shields, will fight Dan Henderson for the title on the card. For those that think that Strikeforce should at least tell the fighters where they are going and when they need to be there, Shields says he knows but is suppose to keep it a secret.

It is in that backdrop that MMA Junkie reports that they are pretty sure Strikeforce will in fact go to Nashville, Tennessee on April 17th (that means no WEC 48 counter broadcast).

Update: Strikeforce confirmed Nashville, Tennessee as the destination for their April 17th show. Scott Coker said that April 24th is off the table as Showtime has a boxing event scheduled, which means no WEC 48 counter broadcast. Coker also commented that he believes Strikeforce will hold a pay-per view by the end of the year.
