I don't know who sanctioned this contest but if it was an NPC/IFBB event, there should be a new "law' against it similar to the once notorious 'moon pose'.
I do think that Mr Weider once stated that he wanted BB to look more like a sporting event and not a dance contest. But that was back when he was making every effort to get bodybuilding into the Olympics.
And I think that there was once an IFBB ruling about the use of "Props" on stage, but Ron Coleman once got around it at a recent Olympia. Do any of you recall that incident?
ANd once upon a time the contestants were limited to a confined space (directly under the posing light) which prevented dancing or moving all over the stage. What ever happened to that simple restriction?
Funny when someone post something negative about bbing & everyone jumps on the bandwagon.
I thought the routine was entertaining with excellent posed mixed in. Every other guy in the show probably hit the mandatory poses severl times in a variety of ways. The posing round is supposed to be entertaining, not a boring display of staying in one spot and do everything everyone else does. Each time i've seen kai, Melvin, King, etc pose, the live audience, mostly females, goes crazy.
These guys are more entertaining than any others from that era when they were confined to one spot. It's great they no longer have those silly restrictions and allow "props", way b4 Ronnie, to add to the entertainment value and allowing each performer to express their individuality.
