"Married w/ children apparently equals stress, germs, lack of sleep, no sex life, malnutrition, and sickness. Only the gullible/brainwashed/weak minded would choose this lifestyle. Suckers"

dov,

When i announced on getbig 5 years ago that I had the bright idea of getting married...

why didn't you PM me this information?
My girlfriend and I live together and split bills(as any dual income situation should)..anyway, a guy told me yesterday that he envied my "situation" of a dual income with no children...this guy is 42, married, 3 children, in a huge home that he can't afford, drives a car he can't afford, and is STRESSED to the gills constantly!

My response to him was simple. I said, "Well, nobody said you HAD to get married, children, huge home, car, etc...

He, like many, fell victim to "the game" that society pressures us ALL to play. Grow up, get married, white picket fence, 2.5 children, family dog, mini-van, etc...that shite aint for everybody, yet, almost everybody does it. Pathetic

You are around infected people is all.

You can`t just magically get sick.

We don't live in a vacuum. You workout hard, esp with the cardio, you immune system is temporarily weakend, making you prone to catching illnesses you normally wouldn't.

Yes, because most bodybuilders are malnourished.

Really low BF ( sub-10 %) tends to negatively impact the immune systems. That's why athletes on form are so disease-prone.
Stress is also bad, certainly longterm stress, are you more stressed due to the kid? The life of a man working at home, no more partying?
There's a strong correlation between psychological wellbeing and resilience to disease.

Totally true but why waste the time trying to convey health related concepts on a bodybuilding site?

no, that was an Ibanez ergodyne bass, about 5 years ago.  I've since moved up to the musicman stingray.

No.  You would be around 130 or so based on your pics.  You do not have that much muscle as you think you do.

Just as I knew.  Nothing at all regarding Low Body Fat while properly nourished as the Causation of a suppressed immune system.

Again, emotional stress is not automatically synonymous with low body fat.  Try again.

low body fat has nothing to do with it (u are correct).  People often overstress themselves physically and get sick because they deprive their body of what it needs: rest and nutrition.  too much exercise can lead to a weakened immune system for sure, but low body fat has nothing to do with it.

When I had single digit BF I would get sick all of the time...now that I am fat I never get so much as a sniffle

Your correlation is in no way indicative of causation.
