Is MPLS still the state of the art?

oooo i fucking hope so man....dont even get me started on that...i read a book on it this one by peplinjack

i tell you it blew me away....the asshole author jumped into what he called the basics and made life a living hell for me for 3 whole weeks of me trying to understand it...i came away understanding only about 50% of the book and really scared...

recently i saw an online INE (internetworking experts) lecture on it and suddenly it all makes sence to me. the peplinjack(prolly pronounced peplenyak) guy did a horrible job...not explaining the basics. BUT YES....MPLS is cutting edge...prolly gonna replace frame relay and ATM for good in the future (although it can run ontop of frame relay and ATM)..but its NOT by any means easy to understand...its not layer 2...its not layer 3....think layer 2.5

Ive learn to accept that in certain cultures (including ours big_mal) it's accepted to stay with one's parents. In TA's culture, he has a family that has money, and doesn't want him to roll until he is established, then go. Your parents and my parents want us to roll out in order to be established. You may win (and do win) on many fronts. But, who really is the winner, are there really in any winners brah?
