i googled this
Answer
Exact salaries for each player is not known. However, most cricket boards have a retainer fee for their top players which they are paid yearly plus any winnings from man of the matches or match/series wins. These retainers and match salaries vary widely. For instance, it has been published that the Australian cricket side will each take home roughly $500,000US per year thanks to the retainer contracts and match winnings over a year. Another example is the West Indian players who can earn upwards of $8,000US per Test and $3,000US per ODI based on their contracts and number of games played.

now questuion for you

AND on average cricket players r better educated and better mannered..

when ws the last time ya saw a fight on a cricket statium? or a batsman question an umpire?

beseball players for the most part r a buncha uneducated animals with $.....

You have a few incidents (Mitchell Johnson headbutting a NZ player in the last few days) but nothing outragous.

Cricket players are looked on quite badly for off field incidents. Shane Warne would have been Australian Captain if he hadn't been running around fucking everything he could. Yet they chose Ricky Ponting, great player, but got knocked out by a bouncer in a club many years ago for chasing round after a tranny and pissing the bouncer off. However he had behaved himself for many years after so they went with him. Any bad incidents and they get the boot quite quickly.

You would crush the competition if you got one of those double bladed paddles like kayakers use.  Can't believe no one else has thought of this!

Different sport, Outriggers are made for ocean paddling, but yeh don't go as fast as a Surf Ski. I can beat Surf Ski's in the open ocean that beat me in the flat water though.

Well it was 'reported' to be a woman. So who knows what is covered up in any sport.

I would not say Cricket players are the smartest guys in the world by any means. But they are cracked down upon for off field incidents, which compared to Rugby League in this country is a big deal.

Rugby League last year had 1 count of rape, 2 drug dealers, multiple parter bashings, taking a shit in a hotel hallway, multiple drunk driving offences, one player bashed a sponsor because the player ripped into his daughter and he took offence (same night as the rape in the same club) etc etc......
