The bigger question is, if THAT version of Phil Heath can't beat a slightly-off Kai....what version can?

In my mind he WON...decisively, but apparently not   

I agree with both of these sentiments.

I'm going to have to reevaluate the pictures because I really didn't see this as being particularly close but I could be wrong.  I think this was Phil's best showing so far.

phil should have won. if he can improve his chest and back just a little bit hes gonna be mr.olympia for a long long time.!

but but for now lacks torso thickness chest chest chest the chest is the third largest muscle group and his arms dwarves his chest major flaw and shoulder width that been said shape and conditioning amazing best showing IMO always improving

Phil is incredible. Mr.O material nah. He is too narrrrroww. Thats why Kai won. Kai's structure is far better and while his conditioning wasn't as spot on as Phil's it was good enough to win. Props to Phil though, great showing.I miss the top 4 that were.. Flex, Chris,Paul,and Kevin. They would mop the floor with the current top 4 in this line up.

As I said before, “It is going to be between Phil & Kai”

They all looked to be in their best shape ever. However, Kai could have gotten rid of that thin layer of water.

Phil surely was at his best EVER , and when you see him alone, he will appear as the clear WINNER.

Unfortunately, this is not the case when you stand Kai next to him Phil (my boy) will appear a bit narrow and Kai superior width will be as clear as the Sun.

It was very close if you see it the same way I saw it, but if I were judge, I would give it to Phil Heath for his significant improvements and impressive condition with a respective second to Kai for his massive size and great condition and all of the rest placing are 100% spot on.

I wish all the best of Phil Heath for next showing.

narrow but so was larry scott, cannon ball delts made up for it,,, arms too...  dillett was super wide but that alone didn't win him shows...

People are mesmerized by phils arms I guranteed if say he had a super amazing chest and average arms no one would be sayin phl should have won .. Phil has the best muscle shape out there today along with dexter
that been said he won't beat jay or kai at this point because he lacks serious chest thickness jay and kai have big arms too but they have chest thickness to match. In the most muscular the chest is the showpiece muscle with phil it's all arms you can't hardly see his chest. Once people gt over the arm fetish you will see kai was the winner phil is mr o one day but not until his chest comes up to match the arms or at least close

Kai must has sucked some serious schlong to get that win.....I think Oscar organised a pre-judging private "show" if you know what I mean.....word has it he was seen carrying a bag of grapfruits around the expo
