Should Dexter Jackson Retire?
« on: March 06, 2010, 07:36:05 PM »
I mean what else can he do, he came in 100% condition, had a better posing routine, even though it was kinda cheesy.  Can he seriously make a comeback and beat Kai, Phil, and even Jay now?.  However i think he will continue to compete for the salary.

Only if they miss their conditioning and he is spot on. Phil and Kai have leapfrogged over him and Jay has too much size and thickness.

Vic Martinez is another guy that can beat Dex if he's really dialed in.

Dex still has 2 or 3 years of competing left, to place in the top 3 and maybe win smaller shows.

Good assessment. Matt about Dexters posing routine, all he does is beg for an applause.

Dexter has no money.  I laughed at how pathetic his financial planning was when I read in his MD column before his 2008 Arnold win that he was broke.

He needs to compete so that he can make money.  He has nothing to fall back on and no money.

I think he went through a divorce or something too; I saw a video of him and it looked like he was living in a tiny one bedroom apartment.

he should retire.

BB isnt about who has the best physique or is the best body on stage.

otherwise he'd win everything.

Kai, Phil and Branch have better physiques than Dex?

absolute rubbish. None of them look as good as Dex.

you might be able to swallow a 2nd place...but 5th?

and what of the other actually pleasing BBs?...

once again a BB show is a "Back, size and condition" contest....not a bodybuilding contest.

You'd think that the Arnold would be the place where it'd focus on the "best" physique..given all the attention Arnold himself put into the concept.

The Arnolds used to be a show that would usually place the guy who actually looked the best in 1st place. It's obviously changing and losing credibility big time

Yea but the powers that be obviously aren't allowing dex to do this. There's no way branch just beat Dex again, let a lone Kai. Phil was game but Dex placing 4th was bs

yeah,,, i dont understand that branch placing at all...
according to the cards dex was 3 and branch was 4,,,, did branch really bring it in the night show...?
all he has on dex are legs,,, he has the biggest legs out of everyone from what ive seen,,, i think he gets beat upperbody wise though,,, dont think his condition is that great but...  again, goin by the pre judge cards anyway, dex was 3.

Dexter likes nice things and if he wasn't broke I don't see how he would have allowed it in the magazine.  It's not hard to spend the few hundred thousand he makes each year if he lives a lavish lifestyle.  He sure loves his DVDs.  ;D
