Actually, species subsumes race, just like genus subsumes species.

Different human races within the same species (Homo sapiens) is the equivalent of having different breeds of dogs under the same species (Canis familiaris).

when people call him "black" do they refer to the colour of his skin or his "race"?

black and white are irrelevant and people should be defined by more than their skin colour

Black physical traits are dominant.  Other traits are intermediary and show an even split.

Matt, you should be smarter to know that this is not always true. It depends, I've seen people that could pass for white...But yes, black traits "tend" to be dominant...

Well iv seen dudes that are mixed, and have white skin, but its off white, and their hair is a bit frizzy not straight, and you can just tell they look black. I have never seen a mixed dude and mistaken him for being just white when he was actually mixed black and white, same goes for chicks you can just tell.

I've been to Compton and it was at night, lived in LA for sometime, and still go back freq. Also Compton isn't what it use to be, more mexicans than blacks imo. Plus they will hose your ass since you're neither white or black
