True, skin color don't make jack shit to me, individual accomplishments and success are more important. You can be proud of your race, but like others have said it all comes down to "you." I never understood why people get caught up on so and so, this and that. Must suck going through life full of "hate." White, Black, Yellow, and Brown, it's all the same to me.
Well, one could say that our school systems and society (our parents) don't teach us that. I don't like black people (especially black men) blaming the white man for them not being able to hold a job or to get one (take a look your criminal record or that chip on your shoulder), but at work there is still a double standard, the "three black people standing and talking" rule---if three or more than two black people are standing around talking then it will cause attention.
I don'l like the fact that someone like mean might have to dress up to go look at a house or for a loan, just to look like "I can afford it", whereas a white couple can look like bums. Or how I can be told, "sorry we don't have lay away", when one is wearing Air Force 1's on one's day off, and never ask about Lay Away, I've never done that shit.
There are issues, but fuck it, that is life, so you roll with the punches, like a 92 Camaro rolling with a 5.0 Mustang
