Can you believe these arrogant pricks.  Biden went over there to smooth over relations, the day he is going to leave, the announce they are building more settlements, completely destroying any smoothing out Biden did, what a disgusting move Israel!

JERUSALEM - Vice President Joe Biden, during a visit that had been aimed at repairing strained U.S.-Israeli ties and kickstarting Mideast peace talks, on Tuesday sharply denounced Israel's approval of the construction of 1,600 new homes for Jews in disputed east Jerusalem.

The Interior Ministry announced the construction plans just as Biden was wrapping up a series of warm meetings with Israeli leaders.

"I condemn the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in east Jerusalem. The substance and timing of the announcement ... is precisely the kind of step that undermines the trust we need right now and runs counter to the constructive discussions that I've had here in Israel," Biden said in a statement issued by his office Tuesday afternoon.

First, whoever wrote this saying 'disputed east Jerusalem' obviously doesnt favor Israel.  Jerusalem has been annexxed 40 years ago, and is a part of Israel.  The expension of the neighborhoods where Jewish people leave is such a way in any city.  They are BUILDING new consruction, not getting rid of other homes. Yes, there is places to build in them hills and part of Jerusalem.  So get it into your head - Jerusalem is in Israel.   I dont hear people saying that California is a part of Mexico because it was a long time ago.  Or this city was part of the Indian Reservation. Jeez.

Israel was there 2,000 years ago, and should be there now. Taken over by others, it is back where it should be. As for Palestine, from 1948 to 1967, they should of been a state, however, talk to Jordan and Egypt on why there chose not to have a Palestinian state.

Actually it was the Brits and France but thats beside the point. Illegally by who's defintion? That word gets thrown around alot, but it seems to me if they (the Brits and French ) were in contol of said land at the time what they did was not illegal. Besides what is now Isreal was basically a huge garbage dump occupied by mostly bedoine's.  And another small problem is what is a Palestinian? What claim do they have to the land? Yasser Arafat of PLO fame was an Egyptian.

Didn't Egypt ask Israel for help in building a huge wall along the Egyptian/Palestinian border in order to keep the Palestinians out of Egypt?  I believe Palestinians got around that by building tunnels under the wall, which Egypt again asked for Israel's help to destroy the tunnels.
