If we use his 1970s physique, then he wouldn't place at all....his legs and shoulders don't equal even that of a National competitor...a guy like Cedric McMillan would have beaten Arnold, judged by today's standards....
However, had Arnold had the drugs of today and trained in the contemporary environment, I think he would of had a fantastic physique.....I think jean pierre fux is a very good example of what Arnold would have looked like......and the gut would have come with it
But you know, at the end of the day, f'ck it and f'ck this thread
The way he was, was perfect....brilliant.... everything he had was built around the simplicity of anabolic steriods and the barbell and dumbell.....no creepy slin or mutant GH and all that shit...no over-reliance on rubbish exercises (yes, I'm saying some pros train like crap...all drugs!, hello PACO!!!) and machines....Arnold had a fantastic appreciation of the deadlift, bench press, chin, squat dips, etc.....and he knew the right bio-mechanics.....he was a very intelligent lifter.....that's why his body was so well put together.....and the fact that he had over-developed biceps and chest only added to his mystique and uniqueness....the man was a pioneer in both physique and selling his soul to get to the stop....god damn and god bless him I guess
