He's even lucky that Hogan considered being in the same ring with him and allowing him to part take in the gate $$$$.

I think Michaels' contract was for guaranteed money. But, you're right - he should have at least been a little more appreciative/respectful of sharing the ring with Hulkster.
I wonder if it was more out of respect. Yeah, his selling was over the top, but so was Terry Funk's a lot of the time, and it was under the pretense of making the opponent look good & enhancing the match overall. I have my doubts that HBK would extend such a courtesy.
But, if you watch, it wasn't all tacky overselling. He went extra high for the high-spots, low-spots, and all spots. Of course, with Hogan being well past his prime, it may have also been an attempt on Shawn's part to easily upstage the "immortal one," and showcasing how much better a worker Shawn is.

It was a pretty good match. I was there when it happened. Fans were really into it and very pro-Hogan. I don't care who's in the ring with Hogan but Hogan owns the crowd and the person in the ring with him when he is out there. The Rock learned this the hard way at WM18 & so did a bunch of others who tried to one-up Hogan.

Good find on that promo of Ravishing Rick in the gym!! I remember that when he tried to chase Warrior for the World Title. He roided up hard for it to as you could tel that although still very lean, he gained about 12 good pounds and he looked phenomenal.

I see that nobody has commented on my Thrillseekers workout video; fukk you, very much... It even had Zubaz, fanny packs, and a whole host of other 90's cliches. Anyway, here is one of CM Punk, selling with speech:

LOL!!
I didn't see the match, but I'm willing to bet that Punk didn't take it personally and retaliate with a bunch of potatoes or no-sells.
