I'm still trying to figure out whether dumbbell pullovers are for chest or lats. I know some people do them for chest and others do them for lats.
As for deadlifts, I always considered them a back movement.
dumbell pullovers, any movement where the arms are pulled "backwards" will use the posterior muscles. like the above poster said, deadlifts work the entier "posterior chain"...all the muscles that pull the body backwards(although deads do use quads too, which although arent posterior are necessary for balance.)
the chest pulls the arms across the body.. the motion involved with any type of pullover movement... pulling the arms back behind the body.. will involve the posterior muscles of the torso.... the chest is not involved
