back squats and angled leg press have no role in a bodybuilding routine as they are primarily hip flexor and glute dominant exercises. Furthermore, I would not suggest a full range of motion conventional deadlift to avoid posterior chain stress. Deficit deadlifts/rack pulls are just as effective and much safer. Jay Cutler also fails to mention the Bent Over Row, which is the King of back exercises. Furthermore, bent over rows can be performed once every 7 days rather than deadlifts which require 14 day intervals for full recovery and have very little rhomboid involvement. Flyes are much better for building mass directly on the chest than any form of pressing movement since presses are anterior deltoid and triceps dominant with the pec as a dynamic stabilizer.
