Actually I did see a homeless guy in Phoenix beating a redbox with a bat...soooooo
Malfunctions from vending machines always deserve a good bat beating. ;D

When he was playing football at Oklahoma, Wahoo McDaniels got pissed that a vending machine took his money.  He pushed it down a hallway and tossed it out a 2nd story window.....

I applaud him, did he deliver a wahoo chop to the machine before he did this? Wahoo could deliver a knockout with one chop.

His name is so much funnier without the 'Chief' in front.

If the cost of a movie ticket is making you blanche it’s time to get a better paying job.

At 9.50-12.50, it can be a pretty expensive outing for a family.

A vending machine that you can rent movies from.

Decent selection....you can check them out at a website and actually even pay on the web and then pick-up the movie.  Good if in a hurry.

Have you taken in a Broadway show or been to the opera lately?  That’s an expensive outing.  I saw Tosca last summer at the local opera house; the ticket’s were $92.50 each and the seats (Grand Tier/Orchestra) were shitty!  The box seats I wanted were $500!  Saw Verdi’s Otello a few months later… same thing.

And this does not include dinner or drinks! >:(

The cinema is cheap!

Didn't blockbuster start up a similar online rental scheme in an attempt to one up netflix?

Guess that didn't pay off

Their rent-by-mail service is still going... which is a good thing.  Netflix needs the competition. :)

Used to be a member awhile back. Since you could return the dvd's to the store it cut down on shipping time.

See, there are those that respect Sade.

I have Inglorious Basterds on my Ipod, and Star Trek...
I see no reason to plunk down X number of dollars for a DVD at Blockbusters...Maybe they should become like Errol's and offer cable TV and Computer service.

Star Trek was great. One of the most underrated movies from last year.

Quentin Tarantino did work at blockbuster back when he won the NPC lightweight Nationals

i remember well back in the early 90's when all the small family video rental stores in my area were quickly and unceremoniously driven out of business by all the big-box blockbuster franchises that seemed to pop up almost over night.

natural course of business just as they made small privet video stores become antiquated; now they are becoming antiquated

i dont feel sorry for them at all.....just for the employees losing their jobs
