humans are not predisposed to mate for life...
if it makes you feel better about your immaturity and psychological underdevelopments that's just fine. But mature, adult people who want to distinguish themselves from beasts/animals tend to adopt a different lifestyle, and to use their prefrontal lobes and not their amygdal when it comes to important choices in life. They capitalize on the product they created. They finish what they started and dont ruin it. It's an investment, the most important and meaningful investment any human can make in life.
Noone who messed his couple and failed raising his children adequatly dies happily and will eventually find out sooner or later how they had a poor judgment in the past if they ruined the family they were suposed to build.
Maybe you should focus your attention on these people who consider they ruined their lives and listen to their testimonies about how they live everyday with a deep regret that just wont go away, instead of worshiping "role models" who are immature and self centered.
Good parents raise good kids who will also raise good grand children. Not all families own this quality that is transmitted to one generation from another.
And our modern societies promote adultery, cheating, superficiality 24/7 on a daily basis.
TV has a big role in the whole thing.
Does it mean that because most people are unable to mate for life , humans are not predisposed to mate for life?
Of course not, and it also doesnt mean we are not suposed to mate for life either.
Fact is people who are able to mate for life are better individuals and raise better children who alos will become better individuals than others.
Better educated people raise better educated children who will earn more and do more good in society than others.
Education nowaday, is accessible to anyone. So to be honnest, people shouldnt complain as much as they do.
Also if human werent predisposed to mate for life, there wouldnt have been smart well educated geniuses raised by strong and stable families.
We re only part of a bigger picture, a human life is only a very small link in a huge chain. We re here to have children and optimize what they inherited from us and resorb our own shortcomings and the ones they might develop.
What parents cannot transcend, they will transmit it to their children who will have to transcend it in their own lives. The more parents try to better themselves during their lifespan, the more they will better the education of their kids.
People who label themselves as "perfectionnists" but cannot raise their kids properly make me laugh.
Well obviously, this kind of conception cannot be understood by most people.
Natural selection i guess. Truth is smart humans are more predisposed to mate than inconsistant immature individuals who only care about themselves.
You should read some books related to psychogenealogy, would burst your bubble quick. You re just uneducated.
I m pretty sure you re refering to the antropologist helen fisher's work like most morons do usually, without reading her book, which does not condemn or promote cheating nor mating for life. She's neutral as a scientific, and nowhere does she say men or women are predisposed to mate for life or not to mate for life either. She also points out to the fact we still have no clues about quantities of stuff hapening in our brains and neural systems and are just at the very very beginning of understanding how it works.
Mating for life or not is still a personal choice for every human being, and truth is being able to mate for life is a skill that requires humongous quantities of work and both intelecutal and emotionnal intelligence, which are obviously not a given for everyone - but that can be improved by work and conditionnings, like everything else - .
