Those cops really didn't know how to handle this guy.

hahahaahaha

The big cop seemed like a decent guy, and I can't really get irritated by the cop in uniform because he's such a clueless jackass...

In my dealings with the Sante Fe Police they're pretty laid back cool dudes as far as cops go.  They were always really calm and willing to help when I talked with them.  I just think this is another case a cop overstepping.  This guy backed way off when asked and totally explained himself to the officer and there was no problem at the scene.  The officer then had an issue as an afterthought and chased him down.  I think the guy with the video was respectful and handled his rights well.  It could have gone much worse in other cities, on the PD's side.

I was just thinking about what would've happened had he done this in Cincinnati....  :o

On top of that, imagine if he'd been a law abiding black man and tried that here, no doubt in my mind he'd be dead.

oh yea, those guys are pretty cool.  If you're in Santa Fe ever and have to deal with the cops there, they're really good dudes for the most part.  They'll even stand around and bullshit with you for a while.  Feels more like a Sherrif Andy Taylor setting when dealing with them which I like.

Cool, the town I live in is like that too.  It's surprising, we have some good police and "old timey" sheriff's department.

I've only been pulled over twice in my life and both times I've been let off, nice respectful guys just doing their jobs.

This man right here is actually our county sheriff, a man I'm happy to vote for.
