I can't imagine what she said that evoked such a response. I want to say that she should have been more careful with whom and how she chose to speak harshly to, but in reality, they both should have been more careful. Besides, they're teenagers. they don't know anything about anything yet.

PTSD can make people do strange things. Dunno the exact situation, but regardless of the girl's statements, that sort of violent act is hard to justify.
