In elementary school IQ tests now for Gifted entrance, you get FIFTEEN extra points for being poor.

So, a poor kid with a 115 IQ will take the slot of a middle class kid with an 129 IQ.

By 6th grade (still elementary I tested  and wanted to put me in Gifted and Talented, and I still hated math ::) I think there was another reason why she wanted me in below average, the chocolate spot could actually "fit" in there...

By the way Toxie, most of that bill had it's teeth taken out.

in my high school...there ws no gifted or stupid program....there ws just math class and you didn't move up grades untill you passed EVERY subject with a minimum C on the finals.

so if u were not willing to work hard..you were fucked...
1) you had your parents for an extra yr in school...not cheap
2) you could potentially be 16 and still be in the 8th grade
